Nickname: EDGE
When did you FIRST THINK about getting a motorcycle? When I was assigned to Marine Corps duty in Buffalo, NY several of us went out and bought motorcycles, we then spent 6 months riding and six months storing. From the standpoint of beauty, western New York and Ontario, Canada are great places to see the scenery.
What attracted you to your current bike? Love those Harleys, the Roadking is good on the long trips and fun to ride on the twisty - turny roads 164 thrives on.
Fastest you’ve ridden? Over a hundred, but mostly I never look down.
How long does it take you to polish your bike? 2 HRS.
Helmet or no helmet?Helmet: Usually a full face on the long rides.
How many bikes have you owned? 4: Honda, Yamaha, and two Harleys.
If you could change something about your bike, what would it be?Custom paint job.
What is the next accessory you will be adding? Adding a CB so I can hear the stuff I am missing, such as “Are we really lost, or do you know a way off the dirt road?".
Favorite road song? Throbbing motors, pounding pulse, exhilaration of riding, wind in my face – the best music of all.
What are 3 lessons you’ve learned about riding safely in the past 12 months?
I am invisible – they can’t see me!, Cages are out to ruin my day, Group riding is the safest riding.
Longest ride? Several all about the same length – to and from SCRC rallies.

Favorite time of the year to ride? Fall or spring in the south, summer in the north.
Next event you would like to attend? SCRC National rally
Ever hit any critters, alive or dead? No
Do you have a ride bell on your bike? Yes
Why do you ride? It’s the ride, the friendships, meeting new people, and all the fun that goes with it.
What is your “dream machine”? Sorry Randy, I told you the other day, just so it isn’t a shock – Goldwing at age 65, but, I will keep the Roadking.
If you had only 7 bucks left in your wallet, what would you do with it?Buy one tank of gas to get away, and one tank to come home.
Why did you join the Pensacola SCRC Chapter? I lucked into the club by way of my neighbors – Mark and Dawn, Dave and Debbie. They told me it would be ride, ride, ride and having great experiences with wonderful people. So here I am – life time member of 164.
