When did you FIRST THINK about getting a motorcycle? I have always been an outdoors person. After coaching high school sports for over 25 years and traveling around US Airports for the TSA, I decided that the open road was for me.

What attracted you to your current bike? The Strat is a great power  cruiser and the Goldwing is an ultimate comfort  cruiser ride.

Fastest you’ve ridden? 115 

How long does it take you to polish your bike? 2 HRS on a bad day.

Helmet or no helmet? Helmet: have to protect what little I have.

How many bikes have you owned? 3: Kawasaki Vulcan 1600, Yahama Strat 1900, 2008 Goldwing (In fact I sold my boat in half day, so I could buy the Wing)

If you could change something about your bike, what would it be? Heated grips.

What is the next accessory you will be adding? Trailer for the Goldwing.

Favorite road song? I Love This Bar.

What are 3 lessons you’ve learned about riding safely in the past 12 months?
Always expect the unexpected
Check the tire pressure everyday
You don’t have to be the first in the intersection

Longest ride? So far….Key West to Pensacola, 833 miles

What was the worst weather you’ve ridden? Through a tornado on the way back from Bike Week Daytona.

Favorite time of the year to ride? Fall

Do you have a ride bell on your bike? Yes

Why do you ride? Enjoy the wind the smells and friendship

What is your “dream machine”? At my age a trike is in my future

If you had only 7 bucks left in your wallet, what would you do with it? I’d ask my wife for an advance on my allowance

Why did you join the Pensacola SCRC Chapter? I was looking for a group that likes to ride (REALLY likes to RIDE) and I couldn’t have found any greater bunch to ride with!!!
