Nickname: Cookie

Tell a little bit (brag) about yourself: My name is Sherilyn Sue Evans (AKA Cookie, which I have had since joining the navy, my last name was Cook and I was a Cook in the navy). I came into this world on April 30, 1971 in Toledo Ohio (yes, I am what they call a Damn Yankee and proud of it). I am a very out spoken person who love life. I am a true believer that you should treat others as you would want them to treat you. I live each day to the fullest. You never know when the Lord will be calling you Home. I served in the US Navy onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in Washington State. I love the experiences that I had in the navy and made many friends while there.

I am usually very out going and smile all the time. When I decided to go back to college to become a registered nurse, I have had to sacrifice a lot of outings with SCRC and the rest of my friends and family. I know it will be worth it in the long run.
It helps having such a Great support system at home. Thank God I am married to such a wonderful man. Jim is my number one support system. If he didn’t cook, clean and take care of everything, I don’t know what I would do.

I am a Mother to three wonderful children. Erik 20, he lives in Ohio. Amberliegh 19 (Newly married to Adam) live in California. David 16 lives in Pensacola. I have several full time jobs. I am first a mother, then a wife and finally a student. We have two dogs, Gizmo and Bella. We also have a water dragon, McLovin.

If and when I do have time, I love to read and write. I also love to sing. I am very down to earth and love to be outside. Love camping, water skiing and horse back riding (anything outside makes me happy). Once school is finished I will be able to do all of them again.

I am a passenger on a 2007 Victory King Pin Tour bike and love it. I can relax while Jim does all the work. With that said, I have a 650 in the garage that is screaming my name. I will eventually take the course and learn to ride on my own so I can ride beside my husband instead of behind him. LOL! I love to ride. I feel free and love the wind against your face. You can leave all your responsibilities behind and relax.

I guess I have rambled on long enough. Thank you for choosing me as the Featured Member of the Month for July. I appreciate it and love being in our wonderful family of SCRC 164!
